Usual dosage is 30 mg per pound of body weight (15 mL/100 lb.). May be repeated at weekly intervals, if necessary. Using aseptic procedures, administer slowly by intravenous injection. Inject carefully to avoid deposition outside of vein.

Indications: For use as an aid in the treatment of actinomycosis (lumpy jaw), actinobacillosis (wooden tongue) and necrotic stomatitis in cattle.
 
Contraindications: The use of sodium iodide is contraindicated in pregnancy and hyperthyroidism.

Dosage for adult cattle and horses is 1,000 – 2,000 mL. For calves, ponies, foals, sheep and swine, it is 500 – 1,000 mL. These are suggested dosages, may vary based on animal condition with respect to dehydration avoidance. Warm solution to body temperature and administer slowly (10 – 30 mL per minute) by intravenous or intraperitoneal injection, using strict aseptic procedures.

Indications: For use in conditions associated with fluid and electrolyte loss (such as dehydration, shock, vomiting and diarrhea).

Contraindications: Do NOT administer intraperitoneally to horses.

Sterile Water is made by reverse osmosis and is suitable for use as a diluent for preparation of pharmaceutical solutions when made isotonic by addition of suitable solutes. This is a single dose vial. After a quantity has been withdrawn for use, the remainder should be discarded.

Indications: Sterile Water for Injection is intended for use as a sterile diluent for preparation of injectable solutions.

Dosage in cattle is 500 mL; for milk fever prophylaxis is 250 – 500 mL (at time of calving), horses is 250 – 500 mL; and sheep is 50 – 125 mL.

Repeat in 2 – 6 hours if needed. Any remainder must be discarded.
Intravenous administration is always preferable. If used subcutaneously, always distribute dose in several places and massage to facilitate absorption.

Indications: For intravenous use in milk fever, and in calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and glucose deficiency in animals.
